The APGO is very disappointed to announce that the Professional Fundraising Organisation (PFO) Workplace Giving UK has ceased trading with immediate effect and been placed into liquidation.
We wish to reassure charities and companies that employee donations given through Payroll Giving schemes managed by Workplace Giving UK will not be affected.
Although a PFO is responsible for recruiting employees to the scheme, all their donations are processed by their employer’s nominated Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) such as Charities Aid Foundation, Charitable Giving, Charities Trust and Smart Giving. Whilst this is very sad news for Workplace Giving UK and their staff, the Payroll Giving Agencies will ensure that money given so generously by employees will continue to reach chosen causes in a timely and efficient manner.
